Open to UX roles & freelance

I make digital things people actually like using.

I'm Joshua — a UX designer in Southern California. I found design through a game I couldn't put down, and these days I work on interfaces, brands, and the occasional entire business. The goal's always the same: clear, considered, and never boring.

Work

Selected projects

A game-interface concept, and a brand built end to end.
01 — Game UI

League of Legends — Ranked Tab

Concept redesign · UX & UI

A concept redesign of League's ranked tab, focused on making competitive play feel rewarding for new and returning players alike.

Rather than impose my own style, I worked within Riot's existing design language — matching their typography and hierarchy so the redesign felt native to the game, not bolted on.

Flow3r — a whole brand, solo

Brand & product design · start to finish

A premium glassware brand I took from concept to launch on my own — identity, storefront, and the product story tying it together.

The work spanned the full stack of design: a brand system, a custom storefront that reads more like a lookbook than a product grid, the copy, and the decisions behind how it guides someone toward a purchase.

About

For most of my life I had no clue what I wanted to be. A video game sorted that out.

I grew up glued to League of Legends — dedicated enough to climb to a top-100 Ivern one-trick. One day I was scrolling Riot's careers page, spotted a UX designer role, clicked out of curiosity, and fell straight into color, type, hierarchy, and user feedback. Never really climbed back out.

What keeps me here is simple: I like making tech that's easier and more fun to use. I'm comfortable following a tight design system and just as comfortable starting from a blank page — and I genuinely enjoy both.

When I'm not designing you'll catch me boxing, hunting down good food, nerding out over cars, or — no surprise — watching League. Want to make something? Let's talk.
